money.jpgHave you found a business that you can really believe in, sink your teeth in and promote with a clean conscience?

I started in my home based business in April of 2006, or should I say this home based business. I had tried many things, usually ending up spending more money than I had to spend, getting nothing out of it but a sense of failure.

I started looking for a business that would help people. I have been a mom to 2 beautiful girls, and was blessed to be able to stay at home while they were growing up. I know that is not always an option now, so I wanted to become involved in something that could make it a possibility for any mom or dad.

I had been a foster parent to 4 girls, fulfilling the need to help once again, and enabling me to stay at home. I became a licensed practical nurse at the age of 46, once again trying to fulfill the need to help.

While all of these “occupations” were fulfilling when the foster kids grew up and left, and I could no longer work as an LPN I started my search again.

There are multitudes of work at home possibilities out there, there is only a handful that are on the up and up, giving the opportunity to be fulfilled and earn a realistic income from your home.

I have come up with a list I believe is a must in finding that business that will give you the things you need in a business, I am going to list them now with a brief explanation of each in hopes that people out there like me will find the company that they need.

  1. Look for a business that you can be passionate about, this needs no explanation, but does it offer a service or product that you could market, and feel good about.
  2. Make sure you check out the compensation plan, does it give specifically what you will be paid and when you will be paid, and is your pay dependant on something other than your own efforts. For instance, someone has to visit and buy into the $1000.00 dollar investment in order for you to get paid?
  3. If you are making an investment to get started, which is fine, are there any hidden costs you will incur before or after you start generating a paycheck?
  4. Is the income a residual income that will pay you over and over again, as long as the business you write is active?
  5. Are there any benefits given to you as part of the program? If benefits are important to you or your family, then by all means look for a company that offers them.
  6. Is the training done locally or do you have to go to a training center? Some online businesses offer training but you have to go to their training center.
  7. Is the training comprehensive and ongoing? Is there anything else you are going to need to learn to start generating checks?
  8. Is the training free, included with start up costs?
  9. Are you given materials to start with or do you have to purchase them separately?

That is a good start on a list to use when searching for an internet based business that is structured for success.
