internet_order2.jpgIf your anything like me, I had a lot of trouble starting a home based business when I first decided to take the plunge online. Do you know what that biggest hurdle was though? That’s right - Getting started! I was very interested to know why that was. It took a bit of time, but I finally came to a conclusion - an answer of sorts that made me realize what it was that was stopping me from doing what I wanted to do. The answer: Unconventionality. Let me dig a bit further on that “concept.It seems that throughout our life, we’re almost brainwashed into thinking that the only way we can make money is by working at a typical 9 to 5 job. You wake up, hop in your car, drive to that “physical building” and start doing the tasks that were given to you by other people. We’re used to this kind of environment - this kind of thinking. So in many ways, it almost feels like a “natural” thing to do.

On the other hand, when you look at the Internet and starting your own business using the Internet, your reaction may be a lot different. One of those reasons, at least for me at the beginning, was because it’s something new. Your not used to seeing things like this growing up, so deciding to do so was quite nerve-racking. The idea of making money over the Internet was something that was unorthodox. Thoughts like, “I can’t do this, this is impossible” ran through my head.

Don’t buy into that type of thinking. If you think about it, your typical 9 to 5 job was also something that was considered unorthodox at one point in time. The fact is, if you want to do something, go for it. When I started working on the Internet, I had voices from every angle telling me that it can’t be done or that I shouldn’t even bother. Of course, these are people that work at your typical job - and there’s nothing wrong with that, it just may be that they want me to have what they have.

The fact though is that I don’t want what they have - I want to do what I want to do! You see what I’m saying? Take charge of your life! Before I began doing anything online, this was, by far, the biggest hurdle to overcome. Coming to the realization that yes, I can do this - and yes, making money over the Internet is a possibility. I’m here to tell you that it is a possibility - but me telling you that isn’t enough. You need to go out there and prove it for yourself. I think that “proving it for yourself” is almost a necessary first-step.

If you can, try and find family, friends, or even relatives to take the journey with you. If you can’t, that’s fine - there’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing it yourself. I think you’ll find that once you do take charge, you may start to see people more and more interested in what your doing, thus instilling confidence in them. As a result, you may find yourself with some potential partners if you so do choose to work with them. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start making money. Good luck!
