The New Wave of MP3 Music : Built on the huge success of Samsungs revolutionary K5 MP3 player, the K3 duplicates the major functions, without a slide out speaker. This makes the K3 one of the slimmest and most attractive MP3 players on the market, with proven hardware and celebrated design.

The player uses an MTP connection to interact with your PC, so for Windows, you will need to make sure you have at least Windows Media Player 10, or use some other software that includes support for it. Linux users are not so lucky, since MTP is hit or miss under the OS.When plugged into Windows though, you will find a new drive under My Computer, that goes by the players name. There you will see a few different folders, and you can simply drag and drop your music into the Music folder, or use your favorite media player to do it.Overall the player is quite simple to use. With it gripped in your hand, you can use your thumb to control everything. You shouldn’t really need to shift your hand at all to reach a certain option.

The whole K5 ‘MPFreedom’ deal didn’t change the world for a majority of people, who still prefer the slimness of the iPod nano to the almost brick-like thickness of the K5, so Samsung decided to make the K3. The result is a player that’s 6.8mm thin — almost equal to the nano! Other than the speaker, the K3 MP3 player has all the features of the K5: MP3, WMA with PlaysForSure support, an FM radio tuner a 1.8-inch OLED display, touch-sensitive controls, etc.

Dotted Graphic UI : The cool K3 has a smooth-as-glass glossy surface devoid of protruding buttons. Instead, it features a luminous OLED touch screen and display. Groovy graphics, created by a Dotted Graphic UI, fill the display with animated dots that form picture icons for the menu for an intuitive, fun and easy-to-use system. Navigate through the menu options easily; music is conveniently catalogued in various folders, allowing you to quickly locate your tune of choice amongst the volumes of albums stored internally.

The player doesn’t have video nor does it have any sort of audio recording capabilities. Another minus for the K3 MP3 Player is that it doesn’t support AAC and OGG audio formats. The formats it does support are MP3, WMA, and ASF and PlaysForSure content. The player also has an integrated FM tuner with autoscan and presets. Another function not present is the Alarm clock.
